Village Alliance Clean Team Beats Snowzilla!

Working tirelessly through the weekend our Clean Team ensured sidewalks and crosswalks were quickly cleared and salt spread. Their swift hard work enabled local businesses to quickly reopen, deliveries to be made and residents, employees and visitors to get around the Village safely and easily

"I'm extremely proud of the Village Alliance Clean Team's work and the exceptional effort they made this weekend to ensure our district was able to return to relative normality as soon as possible" said William Kelley, Executive Director of the Village Alliance.

While there is still more snow clearing to undertake in certain areas of our district, and some crosswalks that need additional attention, the majority of the 44 blocks of sidewalks and crosswalks for which the Village Alliance is responsible are now clear.

The Village Alliance would like to publicly thank our Clean Team for their exceptional efforts this weekend, if you see them in their red uniforms in the coming days don't forget to thank them too!

We would also like to thank all local businesses for their significant efforts in promptly clearing sidewalks and street frontages. No doubt we haven't seen the last of the snow yet, for a full list of snow clearing rules click here for the Department of Sanitation's guidelines.

Together we can all be proud of how we beat Snowzilla 2016!

I admire your work. Cleaning snow in the winter is the most difficult thing :/ cold, tired, wet... at the same time.
