“We are looking forward to collaborating with Community Board 2 to celebrate the Children’s Halloween Parade and bringing the community together for a time-honored tradition,” says Arlene Peralta, Senior Director of Community Engagement at NYU.

A tradition of the community and families from all across the city, the parade and accompanying festivity is a beautiful occasion to come appreciate the creativity of the Village and its visitors, which number in the thousands every year.

Families and children will gather for the parade at 3:00 PM at the arch in Washington Square Park, located at the intersection of 5th Ave and Washington Square North.

After the parade, activities will be held on LaGuardia Place between Washington Square South and West 3rd Street. Children and their parents can enjoy games and goodie bags, as well as performances from the NYU Cheerleaders, Dance Team, a live DJ, and a children’s band.

We can’t wait to see what costumes are on display this year—make sure to save the date for this special event so you don’t miss it!

If you don’t have any nap times to run off to, stick around the Village after the children’s parade for another iconic Village happening: New York City’s 51st Annual Village Halloween Parade!
