Victoria Woodhull Residence

Before the extension of Lafayette Street, 17 Great Jones Street was the address in which Victoria Woodhull, the first woman to run for President, lived. Not only was she famous for her campaign, but she is also recognizable for creating the first female-run brokerage firm. Originally from Ohio, Victoria lived in the City during 1868 to 1877.
