Inside Llewyn Davis

119 MacDougal Street

The Venue

Following a week in the life of a folk singer, this Coen brothers’ film was not only set in the Village but largely filmed here. Over the course of the movie, viewers are taken into the Village of the 1960s with snippets of the neighborhood, including Washington Square Park, the 7th Avenue/Christopher Street subway station, and one notable scene between Llewyn Davis (played by Oscar Isaac) and Jean (played by Carey Mulligan) at the famous Caffe Reggio on MacDougal.
