Kids in the Game Summer Camp Gears Up in the Village

We caught up with Max Pomerantz and Enid Brain, the directors of the Kids in the Game East Village and West Village camps to talk about their upcoming summers.

Max is the Director of the East Village camp, and Enid is the Director of the West Village camp.

Who does Kids in the Game serve, and what does the camp offer?

Max: Kids in the Game serves children of all backgrounds from all five boroughs of New York City. Our camps offer inclusive programming that includes sports, arts and crafts, dance, movement, STEM and much more! We also provide campers with fantastic experiences such as swim lessons, field trips, special events, and field days!

Enid: Kids in the Game serves kids grades Pre-K through 7th, and we try to serve the whole community. We offer constructive community building and fun in the summer (and year-round in our after-school programs.) We’re excited to extend to the West Village and bring our programming to the young people of the West Village area — one of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC!

What are you looking forward to most this summer?

Enid: I’m most looking forward to getting to know our campers! Every group of kids is a new experience and teaches me something new. I can’t wait to get to know these campers!

Max: I am most looking forward to our theme weeks this summer! We have amazing theme weeks in store for Summer 2024 including “Spy Week,” “Space Jam,” and “Pokemon Party!”

How long has Kids in the Game been in the Village?

Max: Kids in the Game has been in the East Village since 2020

Enid: This will be Kids in the Game’s first summer in the West Village

What’s your go-to after camp spot in the Village?

Enid: My favorite go-to after camp spot is the Stonewall National Monument. It’s so inspiring to be in a place where history happened and to get to see that memorialized.

Max: My go-to after camp spots in the East Village are Il Gusto Pizza and the Bean coffee shop!
