Greenwich Village Gets A James Beard Nod

The head chef of 8th Street’s very own Loring Place, Dan Kluger, was one of two NYC chefs to be selected as a semifinalist for the prestigious James Beard Outstanding Chef Award.

In addition to his leadership at Loring Place, Chef Kluger has a rich culinary background, having previously worked at renowned establishments such as ABC Kitchen and Union Square Cafe. Kluger is no stranger to the James Beard Foundation — ABC Kitchen was named Best New Restaurant 2011 by the James Beard Foundation while Kluger was Executive Chef.

As a semifinalist for the James Beard Outstanding Chef Award, Kluger’s nomination reflects not only his individual achievements but also the thriving culinary landscape of 8th Street and the broader New York City dining scene.
