SCNY 116th Annual Thumb-Box Exhibition & Sale
SALMAGUNDI CLUB
The famed Salmagundi Club on Fifth Avenue continues to make art history as it presents the 116th Annual Thumb-box Exhibition and Sale, in the 1,887 square-foot Skylight Gallery of its historic 1853 townhouse at 47 Fifth Avenue. The beloved annual Thumb-box exhibition is known for offering over two hundred small fine artworks for sale in various mediums that tend to make excellent gifts around the holidays. From watercolors, to pen and ink, oil paintings to pastel, and sculpture, the exhibit offers a wide variety of gems in the representational genre. The club, with its many revered artist and patron members, from both near and far, is proud to uphold this exciting holiday tradition begun by its founders over one hundred and sixteen years ago in 1908.
The exhibition and sale are free and open to the public. All works will be available for sale to support the artists, and a smaller portion of the proceeds will be used to benefit The Salmagundi Club’s charitable works and educational aims, as a registered 501©3 charity organization.
The Thumb-box exhibition will open as part of a “tryptic” of three fine art shows in three separate galleries that will run concurrently at the club starting December 10th, 2024. The shows are the Annual Thumb-box, The Illustrators, and Unique Impressions.
