EVENT

Observing World AIDS Day

12/1/2021
5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

The Venue

This December 1, please join us for a series of special events beginning at 5 PM at the New York City AIDS Memorial where we will observe World AIDS Day and the fifth anniversary of the space’s public dedication. To honor this milestone, the New York City AIDS Memorial is also releasing a new limited edition sculpture by the world-renowned French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel with Avant Arte benefitting their Arts & Education Fund.

Your support not only helps maintain a permanent, architecturally significant space to remember, reflect and renew, but also honors those who have died of AIDS, preserves the history of the caregivers, activists, and organizations that rose up in the face of fear and stigma to change the trajectory of the epidemic, and inspires future generations to carry on the tradition of activism bequeathed to us by those whose lives and legacies we preserve and honor every day.

Read more about the upcoming events here. We hope you can join outdoors at this sacred site to remember, reflect, and renew.
