Iconic Images

Step into the frame of iconic images with this tour through Greenwich Village.

With its deep cultural heritage and history as well as its presence in movies and on television, many locations throughout Greenwich Village have become iconic images of  the neighborhood. These spots reflect the unique culture and history of the Village.

Start your journey off at C.O. Bigelow’s, the oldest apothecary in the country, before taking a stroll through Washington Square Park. Head east as you’ll pass by the former home of Wanamakers (soon to be a Wegman’s) and the old location of the Brevoort Hotel. Finish your day in Astor Place, home of the famous Alamo Cube.
