Astor Blaster Silent Disco
The free Astor Blaster Silent Disco returns on June 14th! Dance from sunset into the night around the iconic Alamo sculpture while wearing wireless headphones tuned to three-live DJ's spinning the beats of different genres, all with a nod to World Pride 2019.
Astor Blaster celebrates Astor Place and the East Village as a nexus of New York City’s shifting cultural attitudes, often expressed through music. Folkies, Beatniks and Punks have all gravitated towards Astor Place and its legendary neighboring venues including CBGB where Patti Smith & the Velvet Underground performed, Webster Hall, as well as iconic dance clubs such as The Electric Circus and The Saint.
Admission to Astor Blaster is FREE and wireless headphones will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged by clicking here. Invite your friends via the event Facebook page by clicking here.
The Astor Blaster turntables start spinning at 6:00pm and will continue until 10:00pm. For revelers wanting to continue their evening around Astor Place there will be exclusive Astor Blaster "After-party" offers available at local bars.
Astor Blaster is presented by The Village Alliance, and powered by QuietEvents ® North America’s premier silent disco company.
