Greenwich Village has long been synonymous with new ideas, creation and innovation. It is also home to some of the world’s best universities and schools all producing the next generation of talent and ingenuity.
Throughout the month of May, The Cooper Union, New York University, The New School and The New York Studio School of Painting and Sculpture present free and public year-end shows showcasing and celebrating the very best of their student’s hard work and achievements.

The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, established in 1859, is among the nation's oldest and most distinguished institutions of higher education. The college a world-class education in art, architecture, engineering, humanities and social sciences.
May 21 – June 9: The Student Exhibition 2019 showcasing work from The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, the School of Art, and the Albert Nerken School of Engineering.
NYU was formed in 1831 by Albert Gallatin, the distinguished statesman who served as secretary of the treasury under Presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Today NYU has 11 global academic centers and research programs in more than 25 countries, and employs over 19,000 people in New York City alone.

The New York Studio School of Painting and Sculptureopened in September 1964 with a student body of sixty selected students who had responded to the call of a new approach to art education. Today the School offers an extraordinary studio arts program for aspiring artists, alongside a rich and diverse year-round program of free exhibitions and lectures.
