Holiday Happenings in the Village

The white lights are up on 8th Street and the massive tree is going up under the Washington Square Arch. The holidays are here!

To help you keep abreast of all the festivities and to make sure you have every opportunity to exude holiday cheer, we've rounded up some wonderful Village events that will ensure outbursts in carols and the insatiable taste for eggnog.

The Rob Susman Brass Quartet will lead Villagers in a round of popular carols in anticipation of the Washington Square Arch Tree Lighting. The songs start at 5pm on December 5th. Find out more details here.

Need something stronger than hot chocolate this holiday season? Head to Broadway Panhandler to learn all the ins and outs of making your own cappucino, espresso, or latter. All you have to do is show up at 12pm on December 8th.

Everyone's favorite analog film afficionado Lomography is hosting a holiday-inspired photographic scavenger hunt. It's $20 to register, and you get a great camera to use as well as awesome discounts around the store. The fun starts at 1pm on December 8th, find out more information here.

Head back to Washington Square to sing along with the Washington Square Association on December 24th. All participants will be provided with a songbook as it's best not to fumble the lyrics on Chrismtas Eve! Find out more details here.

Don't forget where to get the best gifts either! Here are some hints on how to find them.

We'll see you in the Village.
