“Just a Song at Twilight”
On Sunday, May 21, 6-8 pm, “Just a Song at Twilight”, a festive cocktail party hosted by the historic Greenwich House Music School, 46 Barrow Street, will feature elegant hors d’oeuvres catered by Dominick Pepe of Boucherie, Dominicks, and Olio in The Village, with wines by Some Good Wine. Proceeds go to supporting the Washington Square Music Festival’s June series.
Flowers will be blooming in the lush garden, festooned with tiny lights, as the guests enjoy the sunset. Festival artists, including harpist Melanie Genin, cellist Lutz Rath and the Stonewall Chorale will preview their June appearances.
The time of day and the inviting garden location suggest a sparkling evening of sophisticated conversation and music, with door prizes for lucky ticket holders, and some special treats from Li-Lac Chocolates and other Village establishments. The Committee looks forward to greeting friends and fans at
this celebratory evening.
Tickets are $500, $200, $150 and $75 with $55 being a special price for music-lovers under 40. Proceeds support the 59th season of free orchestral and Argentinian tango concerts on Tuesdays at 8 pm June 6, 13, 20, 27th in Washington Square Park.
