Three exciting new businesses arrive in the Village this fall, each representing a first for the neighborhood.
Revered Long Island fashion sneaker and accessories retailer, Kicks & Ice, have recently made their New York City debut, opening with a seasonal pop-up on West 8th Street. With retail space spanning over 120,000 square foot in Long Island, their Greenwich Village store provides a new boutique style of retailing for the brand.
Despite only being open a few weeks the store has seen exceptional sales from both their loyal and devoted following, as well as reaching a completely new Manhattan customer base. These early successes point to a possible extended run for the pop-up.
With a range of attractive neighborhood options in which to open their first Manhattan store, it was, fitting Kicks & Ice chose West Street. In additional to its rich cultural and artistic history, the street was also at one time a mecca for fashion footwear stores. While many have long since closed, one such store, Mind Boggler, continues strongly this day.
Kicks and Ice has something for every taste featuring leading brands like Jordan, Nike, Adidas, Ugg, Vans, Converse, and many more. Also featured are several exciting emerging brands with classic retro styles to the latest hotties. In time for the holidays, they will also introduce a range of fashion accessories and jewelry.

The sugar fairies out there will enjoy the sweetest start to the holiday season, with the upcoming openings of New York City’s first Nutella Café and Donut Pub!
Enjoy old-fashioned classics like crullers and honey-dipped donuts to modern favorites like Oreo rings, to hybrid varietals such as the maple bacon croissant donut!
In addition, it is not just donuts; they also serve breakfast with a menu featuring bagels, egg sandwiches, and other savory sandwiches with perfect cold cuts and cheeses.
Donut Pub opens very soon at Astor Place, 740 Broadway. Honestly, we would recommend getting in line now!
If you are wondering, how versatile a chocolate hazelnut spread can be…the answer is very! Get ready for Nutella-laced cafe treats like cookie sandwiches, crepes, and pastries. There will also be espresso drinks like an affogato, drizzled with Nutella.
If you are going with a non-chocolaty friend (is there such a person?) they will get to enjoy Nutella free savory dishes such as salads and Paninis.
